アメリカ合衆国憲法修正第14条は、アメリカ領土で生まれた赤ちゃんに自動的に市民権を与えます。Birthright Citizenship（生得市民権）と言われるものです。親が何人であろうと、不法移民であろうと関係ありません。その子が大きくなると船が錨を降ろすように、家族をアメリカに呼び寄せる機会が多いのでAnchor Babyと呼ばれています。 中国から沢山の妊婦がお産のため渡米/短期滞在しており、それをアレンジするビジネスが盛況との事です。

President Trump is vowing to sign an executive order that would seek to end the right to U. S. citizenship for children born in the United States to noncitizens. This involves the amendment of the U.S. Constitution (Article 14) and will be difficult to be proceeded. In view of the fact that, the number of Chinese mothers who visit the U. S. to give birth to babies to have them become American citizens (babies-citizens) is on the increase, I am becoming concerned about demographic structure of the U.S. in the future. I hope that they will find the best solution, for everyone concerned, to this issue.
