Labor shortage

深刻な労働者不足に対応して、今まで、原則禁止されてきた単純労働とされる分野で、外国人を受け入れるための法改正が議論されています。　新制度は、日本人の就労希望者が少なく慢性的な人手不足に陥っている、建設、宿泊、農業、介護、造船などの分野での就労資格を外国人に与えることを可能にします。　外国人労働者が安心して就労するためのインフラ（教育・福祉・医療・年金制度）が整っているのかどうか、気になるところです。
In response to the serious shortage of labor, due to the rapid advancement of aging society, the government is now considering accepting more foreign laborers in new fields (so called blue collar) such as construction, farming, elderly care, airport services, etc. To accommodate newcomers, improving such infrastructure for newcomers as education for their family members, social security, health insurance, and pensions are seen as top priority.
