トランプ大統領…政策だけを冷静にみると、継承されてほしいものがありました。たとえば、1)戦争回避 2)反人道的（香港/チベット/ウィグル地区などなど）な中国政府に対する強硬な対中政策など。人道的な面もあるのかと思いきや、任期終了直前に次々と死刑を執行している事に対して憤りを感じます。恐ろしいです。EU諸国では、死刑制度が廃止されていますが、米国でもその機運が高まっている最中、衝撃でした。 “死刑制度の廃止”は英検一級の面接試験で何度か取り上げられています。 次回の英検一級2次試験対策講座でDebateする予定です。

When you look at his policies(only), I have to admit that some of them, particularly 1) avoidance of new wars 2) the strong anti-China stance in view of the ongoing government oppression in Hong-Kong, Tibet, etc. disrespecting human rights, were good positions. However, the execution of a series of capital punishments at home (and neglecting the heated debate on abolishing the system as in EU countries) towards the end of his term is merciless and cold-blooded beyond words. Very scary.
