武力や暴力で人の心や信条を、決して変える事ができない事を、歴史から、何度も学びました。　ベトナム戦争中、米国は、”枯葉剤”を使っても、ベトナムの人たちの信条を変える事はできませんでした。強硬な攻撃を続ける米国政府に対し、国内では、市民による反戦活動/反戦歌が広がり、戦争の終結に繋がりました。ロシアにも、反戦活動（兵士の母親達、アーティスト達などが結束し）が広まってほしいと、願わずにはおれません。政府のプロパガンダに洗脳されていない国民もいる事を信じたいです。　

ウクライナとロシアに平和な春が訪れますように！　一日も早く…..

History teaches us that we can never change people’s minds and convictions by employing arms no matter how advanced and sophisticated they may be. During the Vietnam war, for example, the US government failed to conquer the Vietnamese people even with the application of “Agent Orange (defoliant).” Rather, it was America’s citizen anti-war movements that expedited the end of the war. Many anti-war songs emerged loudly (and quietly) saying “NO!” to war. Today I hope that a similar movement will come to Russia, perhaps organized by mothers of young soldiers, artists…. Am I too idealistic in believing that there are some Russians not-brainwashed by the relentless propaganda? I sincerely hope that a peaceful spring will arrive in Ukraine and Russia, the sooner the better.
