当面、金曜日のサム先生のクラスをマーク先生/イアン先生に担当していただく事になりました。色々なトピックでクラスを盛り上げてくださり、生徒の皆様に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
木曜日のクラスは、伊藤の”楽しい英語”を開講しています。　Tongue Twister(発音練習)/ボキャブラリー/やり直し文法/英語でニュース（CNN 10)など, みなさんと英語を学ぶ楽しさを共有したく思います。　CNN 10（You Tube)は、文字起こしもあり、おすすめです。😉

☆Consumption tax(消費税）

明日は選挙日。消費税の廃止を訴える候補者にひとこと…　英国などでは、生活必需品の消費税をゼロにし、高級車などの贅沢品に高い消費税(軽減税率/累進課税）を課している。消費税ゼロ化を強調するのではなく、もっと細やかな税制について議論してほしい。国民も、アメリカのような小さな政府（税金を最低限にする代わりに、医療費などの福祉に係る費用を制限する）を目指すのか、北欧のような大きな政府（税金は多額だが、医療費や教育費をゼロにする）を目指すのか、原点に戻って考えるべきだと思う。政府を信頼できないから、税金を最小限にしたい気持ちになるが….🤔

Tomorrow is election day. I would like to say a few words to candidates advocating for the abolition of the consumption tax. In countries like the UK, they have zero consumption tax on essential goods, while imposing high taxes on luxury items such as high-end cars. Instead of emphasizing the elimination of the consumption tax, I would like to see more discussion on a nuanced tax system. Citizens should also consider whether they aim for a smaller government like in the United States (where taxes are kept to a minimum but expenses on welfare services like healthcare are limited) or a larger government like in the Nordic countries (where taxes are high, but healthcare and education costs are effectively zero). I think it’s important to return to the basics and reflect on this. While I understand the desire to minimize taxes due to distrust in the government…
